About Elise
Elise Schiller has been writing –mostly fiction–and actively participating in writing groups since graduate school. After several decades spent working in education and family services in Philadelphia, she decided it was time to devote some real time to writing. Now she teaches part-time at Community College of Philadelphia and writes daily. In addition to her two published books, she has two manuscripts on the way.
Schiller sits on the advisory board of the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), and she has served on the Philadelphia Mayor’s Task Force on the Opioid Epidemic. When not writing, reading, or volunteering, she enjoys visiting museums and historical sites, often with one of her seven grandchildren or various nieces and nephews in tow.
